About Us

At first glance Vallee Gourmets is an unlikely enterprise to bring

fine dining to the Alps. The company was founded and is run by ex

Hong Kong residents, previously from Zimbabwe, Trish and Ian Rodwell.

Both share a passion for the snow and all things food and wine. They

have wintered in Meribel, the Three Valleys, various French and Canadian

resorts over the past 25 years. Trish is a chef, food stylist and

fine cuisine teacher. Ian is an airline pilot.

Ian says running a ski business is a very strange thing to do for a farm

boy from Africa. But years spent observing variable service and

menus in some of the popular chalets prompted them to form Vallee

Gourmets, to offer a highly personalised and fully serviced gourmet

experience.

The very first Christmas skiing holiday. The weather has been fantastic and the early snow conditions great. The chalet has been fabulous and the food better than anywhere we tried in town.
